Prior to conceiving HAIKE, they have led R&D and industrialization development of cutting edge technologies in world class automakers and T1 suppliers for years. Mr. Chris Ellis, who is regarded as the founder of flywheel KERS, famous British power train expert and Formula 1 critic, is the chief technical advisor of HAIKE. Mr. Ellis initiated the concept of flywheel KERS in 2001 and then patented a portfolio of intellectual property in Europe and the US. Given the background and rich experience of experts in core technology team, HAIKE is chasing to become the global leader of flywheel KERS technology.
The flywheel KERS is a new generation of power train technology for clean energy vehicle. It has higher energy efficiency, extensive application and lower cost compared with traditional clean energy technologies. After debuted in Formula 1 in 2009, flywheel KERS is developed by leading European automakers such as Audi, Volvo, Jaguar for industrial application. The ¡°electric type¡± flywheel KERS developed by HAIKE marks a great leap forward for flywheel KERS technology, achieving 30-35% energy saving under standard operating conditions and 50-100% acceleration performance increase. The development and application of ¡°electrical type¡± flywheel KERS shall not only break the technical barriers and market dominances in clean energy vehicle industry by Japanese automakers, but also create a new technique approach for global auto industry to achieve energy saving and cost reduction.
Built on market-oriented approach, low industrialization risk of ¡°electric type¡± flywheel KERS, as well as our talent and technology development strategy, HAIKE is struggling and shaping itself as a leader in technology and a pioneer in flywheel KERS industrialization. HAIKE plans to invest USD200M in the coming years and build up manufacture and marketing capacity of 100,000 units in annual by 2016. Then the annual output and revenue shall be improved to 300,000 units and USD 2 billion respectively by 2018.
